Most filters take 2-4 bags (100-200 lbs). 3 bags is the most common.
If you aren’t sure how much you need and there is no label, simply fill 3/4 high in the tank. Save any left over for next year.
Tank Diameter:
- 15″ or 16″: 100 lbs
- 17″, 18″ or 19″: 150 lbs
- 20″-21″: 200 lbs
